Laura is a graduate from SAIT’s Legal Assistant program and has a bachelor’s degree in Justice Studies from Royal Roads University. She joined Litco Law’s intake department in 2017 but quickly moved into a Legal Assistant role. She loves to stay active and travel whenever the opportunity arises. Laura embodies the core value of empathy by showing patience and compassion for all clients to ensure they are supported and looked after during difficult times.

Kathleen Buskell

Director of Legal Support Services

Kathleen was born and raised in Winnipeg. She continued her education at the University of Manitoba and graduated from The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in the Legal Assistant program in 2016. When she is not in office, she is busy with her husband and 2 young kids. In her spare time she enjoys going to Barre, Lagree, and loves to cook and bake. She embraces Ask Why – always improving processes, further educating herself and sharing information with her team members.

Chelsea McLennan

Legal Assistant

Chelsea joined Litco Law in January 2021 as a part of our Records & Information Team. She graduated from Bow Valley College Chiu School of Business in 2015 with a major in Event Management. After a successful five-year career in the event planning industry, she is looking forward to utilizing both her analytical and organizational skills to assist Litco with their ongoing success. Chelsea enjoys playing soccer in her spare time and loves to spend time with her family at their cabin in the summer. She embraces all of Litco’s core values but identifies most with Kindness and believes everyone should be treated with equal respect.

Adina Bella

Legal Assistant

Adina began her legal assistant career in 2004 working in criminal, civil litigation, and family law. She joined our personal injury law firm in 2011. Adina loves the legal aspect of her work as much as she enjoys helping our clients. Her focus is on empathy not only for her clients but for her teammates as well. Her activities outside of work include reading, working out, camping, traveling, skiing and spending time with her family.

Kelsey Junor

Kelsey graduated from the University of Calgary in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology and a Minor in Law & Society. She started with Litco Law in 2016 with the Admin department, but made a quick transition into the Legal Assistant Department one year later. Since starting her new role, Kelsey has been continuing her education with the SAIT Legal Assistant Program part time. She loves to travel and stay active with outdoor activities in the summer and the winter. Kelsey really lives our core value of Ask Why by always bringing new ideas to her team. She is always finding ways to improve our processes to be more efficient in order to better serve our clients.

Kasandra Krywy

Legal Assistant

Kasandra was born in Edmonton, Alberta, and was raised in the small town of Sturgis, Saskatchewan. She attended the University of Saskatchewan, and later, the Saskatoon Business College, where she completed her diploma in Legal Administration. Kasandra went on to join the law firm Balfour Moss, which later became Miller Thomson, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. During her 6 years with the firm, she fulfilled various assistant roles within Litigation, Family Law and later, moved into her role as a Real Estate Paralegal. Kasandra enjoys traveling, learning new recipes and having themed dinner nights with her friends, reading, fitness, and going fishing. Kasandra lives our core value Ask Why - She looks for ways to improve processes and increase efficiency for her work and her teammates work.

Erin Proud

Erin was raised in Victoria, British Columbia and now resides in Calgary with her husband and young son. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Calgary in 2011 and her Legal Assistant Diploma (honors) from The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in 2014. When not in the office, Erin enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and friends. Chala Frank

Legal Assistant

Chala joins Litco Law with 16 years experience as a Legal Assistant with knowledge in Family Law, Personal Injury and Legal Administration. Chala is looking forward to returning her focus back to directly assisting clients on their personal injury files. In her spare time Chala likes to “craft through the chaos of life” by sharing her crafts and card creations through her blog and in her video tutorials. She is also proud to be a creative Design Team Member for a Canadian online craft company. Chala lives the core values of Kindness and Empathy by going the extra mile for our clients and by continuing to use her prior Special Education/Teaching Assistant Diploma to volunteer in her community.

Kristina was born and raised in Edmonton, AB. She has previous work experience at a high-volume Dodge Dealership where she specialized in client satisfaction and internal advising, before deciding to go back to school to complete the Legal Assistant course at Sundance College in 2022. In her free time, she likes to get out on long distance trail races or spend the weekend in the mountains with her two dogs: Saurous and Luna. Debbie Pennie

Debbie was born in Comox, British Columbia, but has lived in Calgary since she was 7 years old. She has over 30 years experience as a legal assistant/paralegal working in various areas of law including Real Estate, Family Law, Wills and Estates, Civil Litigation and Corporate Law. In her spare time Debbie likes to read, spend time with her family and friends and go camping. Alanna Hoffart

Alanna was born and raised in Calgary before moving to Kelowna to pursue a degree in Psychology with a minor in Gender and Women’s Studies. After a few years in the Hospitality industry, Alanna discovered her love of Personal Injury Law in July of 2021, working as a legal assistant and learning the legal process. While not at work, Alanna enjoys playing disc golf, rec volleyball, and spending time with her dog Milo.
