Joshua Haase – Core Value Champion

Mar 30, 2020

Everything we do at Litwiniuk & Company Personal Injury Lawyers is driven by our Core Values: Own It, Kindness, Empathy, Ask Why, and Don’t Blame. When a team member goes above and beyond to embody these principles, we believe that they deserve to be recognized!

Welcome to our first Core Value Champion post of 2020, where we do just that. In this edition, we are celebrating Student-at-law, Joshua Haase, for his incredible efforts in upholding the values that our accident injury firm was built on!

Core Value: Own It

In personal injury law, Owning It is a must. People come to us in one of the most difficult times in their lives, and it’s our duty to do everything in our power to secure the best possible outcome for them. Sometimes, that means making an extra effort, working late, and more.

Joshua has shown time and time again that he’s willing to step up to the plate when our injured clients need it most. You can always count on him to volunteer time to speak to clients anytime day or night, on weekdays and weekends, just so they don’t have to wait for answers after a traumatic accident. Joshua goes above and beyond the normal expectations of a Student-at-law. He helped create our Litigation Support team, which provides the much-needed assistance our accident injury lawyers need to get the best possible outcomes for our clients. All in all, Joshua has absolutely owned his role throughout his entire articling experience at Litwiniuk & Company.

Core Value: Kindness

We build a great team one exceptional individual at a time here at Litwiniuk & Company Personal Injury Lawyers, and we believe that Kindness is at the heart of incredible teamworkWhen our team feels mutually appreciated and respected, we accomplish great things together—for our injured clients and ourselves.

Since joining our firm, Joshua has displayed incredible kindness and approachability that puts the people around him at ease. Whether he’s making a hilarious joke to brighten everyone’s day or lending a hand to a fellow team member with an issue, his positive attitude and optimism are always on full display—and the firm is better for it.

Core Value: Empathy

Every case is different, and there’s no one-size-fits-all solution for personal injury. Empathy allows us to understand our clients’ unique circumstances, needs, and concerns in order to deliver the care they need after an accident.

Joshua lives this value every day when meeting with potential clients. The process of filing an accident injury claim can often be a scary, confusing process, and that’s why he’s always willing to take the extra time to find answers to tough questions and offer reassurance about the next steps in a claim. Joshua’s Empathy is instrumental in making our injured clients feel comfortable, safe, and heard.

Core Value: Ask Why

No process is so perfect that it can’t be improved upon, and a champion of Ask Why knows this well. Questioning how we do things only leads to better, more efficient service for the injured clients we help—and that’s something we can all get behind.

Joshua is a champion of Ask Why thanks to his creative thinking and ability to look at Litwiniuk & Company’s processes and operations objectively to find efficiencies. In fact, he was selected to participate in the new CPLED pilot program for articling students, trialing a new format for learning and providing detailed feedback in order to make improvements to Alberta’s training program for Students-at-law.

Core Value: Don’t Blame

If a problem arises, we always hold ourselves accountable first, look at our own contribution to the situation, and work together to find a solution. Whenever Joshua encounters an issue , the last thing on his mind is finding someone to blame. Instead, he always carefully reviews the situation, weighs the options, and helps to find a way to resolve the problem. For him, every challenge is an opportunity to learn and grow—and it’s this great attitude and unbreakable spirit that make Joshua such a valuable member of our team.

Congratulations on being named this year’s first Litwiniuk & Company Core Value Champion, Joshua! We’re lucky to have you on our team. You’ve helped us start off with a bang, and we’re looking forward to seeing what the rest of 2020 brings for you!
