Kyla Mackie (Law Student)
Professional Background
Kyla obtained her Juris Doctor at the University of Ottawa in 2024. Before attending law school, Kyla completed a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Mount Royal University, where she majored in Marketing and minored in International Business and Economics.
During law school, Kyla was on the Senior Editorial Board of the Ottawa Law Review and interned at the Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic. Kyla also volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, where she worked on the Canadian Health Coalition Project, conducting policy research. Furthering her passion for community development, Kyla also volunteered with the Women’s Legal Education Action Fund (LEAF) and sat on the Public Legal Education Committee.
