Professional Background
Kyla obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa in 2024. Before attending law school, Kyla graduated from Mount Royal University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. She successfully completed the Alberta Bar admission program and will be called to the Bar later in 2025.
During law school, Kyla was on the Senior Editorial Board of the Ottawa Law Review and interned at the Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic. Kyla also volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, where she worked on the Canadian Health Coalition Project, conducting policy research. Furthering her passion for community development, Kyla also volunteered with the Women’s Legal Education Action Fund (LEAF) and was a board member of the Public Legal Education Committee.

Personal Snapshot
In her free time, Kyla enjoys traveling. While completing her BBA, she spent a semester studying International Marketing in Paris, France. She also enjoys going to the mountains for hiking, biking, and camping.
