Josh obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of New Brunswick in 2019. Prior to attending law school, he completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and a Master of Arts in Political Science from the University of Calgary.
In 2019, Josh joined Litco Law as a Student-at-Law and, upon completion of his articles, was hired as an associate lawyer. He is passionate about providing the highest level of customer service to his clients and supporting them through, what is often, an extremely stressful time in their lives. He practices primarily in the areas of personal injury and employment law, particularly wrongful dismissal and constructive dismissal. He has extensive experience conducting Questionings or Oral Discoveries, both plaintiff-only and plaintiff and defendant, and has worked on multiple matters that have required private mediation. Josh has also appeared before the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, the Provincial Court of Alberta, and has participated in contested Applications before Masters and Judges.
During law school, Josh was a member of the Poverty Law Society, which held fundraisers each year for the Women in Transition House in Fredericton, New Brunswick. He was also selected to represent the Faculty of Law at the Kawaskimhon Aboriginal Law Moot in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In his final year, Josh authored a term paper that was selected for publication in the University of New Brunswick Law Journal and he was awarded the Richard Hanson Prize in Constitutional Law for his work in Advanced Evidence.
Outside of the office, Josh enjoys spending time with his partner and their puppy, Winnie. He is a lifelong Calgary Flames and Calgary Stampeders fan and has seen the latter live in two Grey Cup games, in 2012 and 2014. He is an avid golfer in the spring and summer, and enjoys playing on a hockey team with his childhood friends during the winter.
