Life sometimes throws us curveballs that we don’t know how to handle… but the good news is, you don’t have to go through it alone! At Litco Law, we are always in your corner, cheering you on until you’re feeling like yourself again. And in this episode of our Back to Better series, we were able to be those cheerleaders for our amazing client, Michael Kerr. After an unfortunate accident with a loose tire left him unable to work, we had the privilege of supporting him throughout his claims process— and we’re so glad we could be there in his time of need. Keep reading or watch below to hear his story, and from the bottom of our hearts, we thank Michael for taking the time to share.

“I was driving to work at about 5:30 in the morning, and a tire from a semi-trailer came towards me— it came off the trailer and hit my van. It totalled the van and put me into the ditch. I was there for about two and a half hours while the fire department worked to get me out of the vehicle… it was one of those freak accidents. The hub, the brakes, everything was still attached to the inflated tire on the rim. The whole thing came off. I had damage to the right side of my neck, right shoulder, and upper back… so I was out of work for four and a half months.

I looked online at the reviews for different firms… but when Litco Law made the first phone call, they made me feel comfortable— so that’s where I went. I’ve never done anything like this before, and I’ve never had an accident before, so Litco’s help was pretty refreshing. To be honest, after coming here I didn’t have to worry about anything. Everybody at Litco focused on me getting the rehab, getting better, and getting back to work, which made everything that much easier.

I really didn’t have to call and ask about anything because I was given updates. It made it all easier and more relaxed, and I could focus on recovery and getting back to work. From the day that I signed off and sent the paperwork back, I was completely at ease with what was going on. I didn’t have any questions because they answered them all up front… and there was nothing strange that came up or anything. From beginning to end, it was smooth and it was good. But to not have to worry? You can’t measure that. It was great to be able to know that when I get up this morning, I’m going to therapy, and that’s all I gotta worry about. I don’t need to make a dozen phone calls and find out where things are with the process of recovering the money, or worry about what I need to help them gather so they can get things through when I get better. To not have to worry about it, or even think about any of that, but just focus on getting better— it’s priceless. If there’s one thing you never change, don’t change that.”
