Professional Background
Juliana earned her Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2025. She previously completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society with a minor in Sociology at the University of Calgary in 2020. Her undergraduate thesis, The Poverty Industry and Its Impact on Refugees in Canada, explored the financial challenges faced by Syrian and Yazidi refugees during resettlement. This research deepened her commitment to advocacy and social justice. She also volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters in Calgary, mentoring youth who had experienced adversity.
Most recently, Juliana served as a Law Student Caseworker at Parkdale Community Legal Services in Toronto. In this role, she managed a high caseload, applied her bilingual Spanish skills, represented clients in tribunal hearings, and developed legal strategies for complex social assistance matters.
Beyond her legal work, Juliana is passionate about movement and mindfulness. She incorporates weight training and running into her routine and finds grounding through journaling and meditation. This holistic approach supports both her physical and mental well-being.
Among Litco’s core values, Juliana most resonates with kindness. She believes that even the smallest gestures—a smile or a moment of genuine care—can uplift someone’s day. For her, kindness is a quiet form of leadership rooted in empathy, intention, and lasting impact.
