Welcome back to our Team Member Spotlight series, where we take a moment to feature a truly exceptional member of our amazing team! We’re here to introduce a Litco Law leader who truly shines bright like a diamond— our very own Legal Assistant Lead, Jessica Cook.
Jessica joined Litco Law in 2016 as a practicum student from the SAIT Legal Assistant program, and immediately won us over with her incredible talent, hard work, and warm personality. So, naturally, we invited her to join our team full-time— and we’re SO glad she said yes! In six short years, Jessica has gone from being a practicum student to a Legal Assistant, and now she’s the Lead for that ever-growing team. Never one to shy away from stepping outside her comfort zone, Jessica took the stage to speak at the SAIT Legal Assistant Open House panel, where she shared her valuable experiences and knowledge with students from her former program. Known for her empathy, sense of humour, and optimism, she consistently makes Litco Law a welcoming place for team members and clients alike. To her, each day is a new opportunity to make a difference and leave the world a little brighter.
A cheerleader in everything she does, she’s guaranteed to get you excited for any activity (big or small) that’s going on in the workplace. Jessica is always eager to plan and volunteer her time for events with the team. Whether she’s speaking on a panel, serving drinks at an open house, organizing tables and food, thinking of new ideas to help motivate the team, or greeting visitors to the office, she’ll make sure everyone has a fabulous time!

When asked about her favourite aspect of working with Litco Law, it’s the welcoming community we’ve created for clients and team members alike that really stands out to Jessica. For her, being able to help clients with their Personal Injury claims while surrounded by friendly, passionate people makes work comforting, rewarding, and fun!
Fun facts!
- Hobbies: When she isn’t assisting clients or team members in the office, Jessica enjoys travelling, playing soccer, reading, and cooking up a delish meal!
- Proudest Professional Achievement: An achievement that Jessica is especially proud of (and rightly so) is graduating from her Legal Assistant program with Honours and a 4.0 GPA. We’d also like to weigh in and say kudos to Jessica for earning the Team Lead role!
- Passion: When asked about her greatest passion outside of her day job, Jessica talks about her love for travelling and exploring as many unique countries and cultures as she can.
