Best Brunch Patios

Apr 9, 2021

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day— and here at Litco, we believe in working hard and brunching harder. While dine-in may be limited right now, we can still live it up on Calgary’s best patios. Keep reading for a list of Litco’s favourite brunch spots, so you can chow down and feel good about supporting the local restaurants that need us most right now!

Blue Star Diner

Did someone say $5 Caesars?! Blue Star Diner is an absolute staple in Bridgeland. From their unreal bacon and grilled tomato benny to their to-die-for red potato hash browns, Blue Star’s adorable patio gets five stars from us every time.

Where:  809 1 Ave NE

The Coup

If you’re into veggie-based dishes, The Coup has become one of Calgary’s go-to vegetarian spots. However, even die-hard carnivores will drool over their sandwiches, French toast, and Instagrammable lattes. Post up on their patio and embrace that plant-based way of life!

Where: 924 17 Ave SW

The Beltliner

Is there anything better than puppies and patio hangs? No, there really isn’t. Luckily, The Beltliner delivers all that and more, with killer dishes like fried chicken eggs benny, avocado toast, and waffles for daaays.

Where: 243 12 Ave SW

Vendome

There’s nothing like an early morning mimosa to upgrade your week, so head on over to Vendome in the heart of Sunnyside for your brunch fix! From binge-worthy omelettes to pulled pork donut sandwiches (seriously), this is treat yo’self central.

Where: 940 2 Ave NW

Ship & Anchor

It’s not really patio season until you’ve hit up the Ship for brunch and brews. It’s dog-friendly, so pull up with your pup and go wild on granola bowls, skillets, and breakfast burritos. Oh, and don’t forget the breakfast beer!

Where: 534 17 Ave SW

Dairy Lane Cafe

Located in West Hillhurst, Dairy Lane doesn’t mess around when it comes to Canadian farm-to-table eats. Chow down on their brioche French toast or grab a life-changing breakfast sammy—you really can’t go wrong here.

Where: 319 19 St NW

Euphoria Cafe

Did you know that Euphoria’s got outdoor seating at the front and back of their café, plus a big courtyard through their back door? Well, now you do! That means no more excuses not to check out their almond croissants, Belgian waffles, and tasty paninis.

Where:  8 Varsity Estates Cir NW #110

Red’s Diner

If you’re looking for a from-scratch breakfast, Red’s Diner is a solid pick. They serve up everything from vegan scrambles to Montreal smoked meat hash, so head to one of their four locations to eat up from safe and socially-distanced tables.

Where: 286 10 St NW

OEB

If OEB’s breakfast bowls don’t get you hyped, we’re not sure what will. They push the boundaries of breakfast by serving up familiar classics with flair. Our suggestion? Try a Gold Digga breakfast poutine with black truffles, poached eggs, and duck fat fried herb potatoes. It’s as fun to say as it is to eat!

Where: 2207 4 St SW

We hope this list helps you experience the brunch you’ve always dreamed of, Calgary! Patio season is in full swing, so grab someone in your bubble and make that breakfast date happen. We’ll catch you out there!
