This holiday season, Sunrise Community Link will be hosting their 1st Annual Sunrise Family Christmas Celebration on December 14, 2013. Litco Law is proud to be partnering with Sunrise Community Link, and other members of the Forest Lawn Community, by collecting toys and gifts to donate to families in need of support.
Sunrise Community Link, located in east Calgary, is a community development agency and resource centre engaged in poverty reduction and community capacity building. Their mission is to collaborate with individuals and families in East Calgary to address vulnerabilities and facilitate personal development through resources and support while engaging them in contributing to the resilience of their communities.
“Sunrise will also be assisting those families who are not able to access any Christmas programs,” explains Tracey Livingstone of Sunrise Community Link. “On those last few days before Christmas Sunrise is flooded with people who have somehow fallen through the cracks. Any extra gifts we can collect for those families, seniors or individual adults would go a long way in making their Christmas a special time.”
