Chestermere Upgrade Project

Aug 21, 2019

Anyone can tell you that sports are more than just a game here; they’re a way of life, an outlet, and a chance for the whole community to come together. Every child deserves a chance to enjoy the benefits of play. So, when Chestermere High announced its Sports Facility Upgrade Project, all of us here at Litco Law Personal Injury Lawyers jumped at the opportunity to lend a hand.

“It’s heartwarming to see Alberta’s communities working as a team”

This public high school has served thousands of students from the communities of Chestermere, Delacour, Dalroy, Langdon, Dalemead, Indus, and Conrich since 1961—including accident injury lawyers from our very own Litco Law team! Both Fred Litwiniuk and Todd Litwiniuk sported a Chestermere jersey while playing on the school’s football team, the Chestermere Cowboys. Needless to say, it’s an institution that’s very close to our hearts here at the firm.

Chestermere High School began its athletic park upgrade initiative in an effort to adapt to the explosive growth of the surrounding neighbourhoods and student population. The project’s goal of $3,000,000 will go toward new turf, change room facilities, and other necessary enhancements. This facility is the first of its kind in Chestermere and will go a long way in encouraging community pride and participation in sports like football, soccer, baseball, ultimate frisbee, and rugby. For more information on the initiative, click here.

It’s heartwarming to see Alberta’s communities work as a team to accomplish something great, and that’s exactly what’s happening right now with the Sports Facility Upgrade Project. So far, the initiative has raised $500,000 with the help of local athletic organizations, school boards, volunteers, individual donors, and more! However, the project still has a long way to go to its $3,000,000 goal.

“Every child deserves a chance to play”

The accident injury lawyers at Litco Law are committed to giving back to the community—especially institutions that have had a huge impact on so many of Alberta’s youth. That’s why our accident injury firm has made a financial contribution to get this amazing cause one step closer to being funded. We hope you’ll join us and donate or volunteer your time to make the Chestermere Facility Upgrade Project a reality. With your help, more kids in our communities will have the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive through sports.
