Professional Background

Abdul is obtaining his Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan in 2021. Before attending law school, Abdul studied Sociology at the University of Saskatchewan. During his fourth year of undergraduate study, Abdul worked with the Urban Public Health Network (UPHN) to present a national-level portrait of urban health inequalities across Canadian cities.

During law school, Abdul volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada as a member of the Campus Legal Clinic at the University of Saskatchewan. As a volunteer with the Clinic, Abdul gained experience conducting client intake interviews, drafting legal memoranda, and providing summary advice under supervision. Abdul dealt predominantly with academic and non-academic appeals, landlord tenancy disputes, and small claims actions. Through this experience, he learned the importance of assisting people, working in a time-pressured environment, the importance of teamwork, open understanding and the dedication required for one’s job.

Abdul embraces our core value of Empathy. He recognizes that most clients come to us seeking legal advice during a very stressful time. Therefore, it becomes our responsibility to provide the best legal services while being empathetic and compassionate towards their situation.
